Strategic Evaluation Context & Metric Doctrine
Maritime supremacy dictates global power projection, sea lane security, and credible strategic deterrence across contested blue-water domains. Capital surface assets like CATOBAR fleet carriers provide expeditionary air wings, while undersea fleets split between silent SSBN second-strike ballistic missile deterrents and hunter-killer SSN submarines patrol vital maritime choke points. Modern naval balance increasingly pits blue-water carrier battle groups against asymmetric anti-ship missile belts and autonomous USV swarms designed for coastal denial.
